Nestled on the eastern banks of the iconic Lal Ghat on Lake Pichola, Kankarwa Haveli sits right in the heart of Udaipur’s vibrant old city.

Perched on the lake’s edge, the Haveli offers stunning, tranquil views where the gentle waters caress its windows and western façade. Just a short 5-minute stroll brings you to landmarks like the Jagdish Temple, Jagdish Chowk, and the majestic City Palace. In the opposite direction, explore the famed Gangaur Ghat and the historic Bagore Ki Haveli. Right outside our doors, boats are available for hire, and a delightful array of shops awaits.

We encourage guests to embrace the charm of the old city’s narrow lanes and bustling streets—this lively maze is the heart of Udaipur’s unique character. From here, you can easily access all major attractions, including temples, markets, restaurants, ghats, and the scenic shores of Lake Pichola. 

• How to Reach the Haveli

By Air:
Maharana Pratap Domestic Airport, Udaipur, is located about 25 kilometres from the old city—roughly an hour’s drive to Kankarwa Haveli.

By Rail or Bus:
The railway and bus stations are approximately 4 kilometres away, making for a convenient 10 to 15-minute auto rickshaw ride to the old city.

The old city is accessible through three main entry points—Chand Pole Gate, Hati Pole Gate, and Rangniwas—all of which serve as ideal drop-off points for guests. Please note that municipal authorities restrict four-wheelers inside the old city from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. We recommend using an auto rickshaw or walking from these gates to reach the Haveli comfortably.

• Parking Facility

Due to the narrow lanes and limited space in the old city, Kankarwa Haveli does not have on-site parking. However, we are happy to assist you with information on nearby government-run paid parking facilities. These parking areas are approximately a 5 to 7-minute walk or a 4 to 5-minute auto rickshaw ride from the Haveli.
